Messages from the research team
How to read messages from the research team and write to them during the study.
During the study, the research team may send you a message, for example a question about something you recorded. You can also write to them at any time. This page explains how.
Read your messages
- Tap Messages at the bottom of the screen.
- Read the conversation. The newest message is at the bottom.
When there is a new message, you see a number on the Messages button.
Each message shows who wrote it, Research team or You, and the date and time.
Sometimes a message is about one of your answers. Then it starts with About your answer to and the name of the task.
Write to the research team
- Tap Messages at the bottom of the screen.
- Type in the box Write a message.
- Tap Send.
You see Your message has been sent. The research team gets your message and replies here.
Use messages for anything about the study. For example:
- you are not sure what a task asks
- something is not working
- you will be away for a few days
Emails about new messages
When the research team writes to you, you also get an email that says you have a new message. It shows the message and a Read and reply button. The button opens your messages and signs you in, so please do not share the email.
If the team sends several messages quickly, you get only one email.
The Read and reply button works for two weeks. After that, open the study from your home screen or with the link in your invitation email.
When you cannot write
You can write messages once you have agreed to take part, until the study ends. When the study has ended, you see This study has ended, so messages can no longer be sent.
If you stop taking part, you can no longer open the study or its messages.
